Listowel

Listowel is situated in north Kerry, and is a lively market town. The town has a long history and is also a heritage town. The town consists of colourful pubs and shop fronts, and many excellent restaraunts to dine in, all centred around and off a central square. It is well known for it's literary connections, and famous writers. It has many places of interest such as the Seanchai-Kerry Literary and Cultural Centre, which is a celebration of Kerry's many writers, and there is the four day festival in June known as Writers Week. There is also Listowel Castle, St.Mary's Church and St.Johns Theatre and Arts Centre, to name a few. For the racing fans there is the Listowel Races, which attracts thousands each September for the annual week long festival. Angling for salmon and trout in the River Feale, as well as a golf course in Listowel, and a few miles away is the renowned Ballybunnion Golf Course.Click on the links for further information.

Co.Kerry

Co. Kerry is situated in the southwest of Ireland, and provides some of the most spectacular scenery in Ireland, as well as some wonderful beaches. Around 20 minutes drive away are the beaches of Banna and Ballybunion. Venture a little further to the stunning Killarney National Park, renowned for it's breathtaking mountains and lakes, as well as it's historical sites. Here you can take a relaxing Jaunting Cart ride, to take in the secenery at leisure, then stroll around the town. The Ring of Kerry is a route which is over 100 miles in length, and is a popular tourist trail in Ireland. The route takes in spectacular scenery, and colourful towns and villages. Or take a trip out to Dingle Peninsular to view the dramatic scenery and numerous archeological sites.
